About Jayne

In loving memory of our beautiful daughter Jayne, who tragically left us on September 11, 2023, after silently battling anxiety and depression. Jayne was a bright soul who touched the lives of many during her time on this earth.

From her early days in the Pleasant Valley School district, Jayne discovered her passion for cheerleading in the 7th grade. It was in this sport that she found not only a talent but also a profound sense of joy and purpose. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she earned a spot on the JV team in high school, a milestone that brought immense pride and happiness to her and her family.

Outside of cheerleading, once Jayne turned 16, she thrived and worked diligently at Whitey’s. Additionally, Jayne spent her last summer with us babysitting two children across the street, a role she adored and found great fulfillment in. The laughter and joy she shared with those children brought her immense happiness alongside her work at Whitey's.

Jayne was naturally able to make friends effortlessly and was a frequent host and attendee of sleepovers, always surrounded by laughter and camaraderie. She had a creative spirit and captured countless memories through pictures, videos, TikTok’s, and Instagram posts, ensuring that those moments would be cherished forever.

Jayne had a special bond with her dad, often catching him on video doing silly things that brought laughter to the home. Now, her father and I are committed to stepping into the spotlight, reaching out to as many people as we can to help spread mental health and suicide awareness. We aim to support and advocate for those who, like Jayne, may be silently suffering, and to ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.

Academically gifted, Jayne maintained a spot on the honor roll and approached her studies with enthusiasm. School was not just a place of learning for her but also a hub of social connections that she cherished deeply. However, as she transitioned from her
sophomore to junior year, signs of inner turmoil began to surface.

Jayne's increasing reluctance to attend school and her bouts of anger hinted at the struggles she was facing internally. Despite our efforts to support and encourage her, the weight of her unseen battles grew heavier. Jayne's unwavering spirit and
determination were overshadowed by the invisible pain she carried within.

While we may never fully comprehend the depth of Jayne's suffering, we hold onto the memories of her radiant smile, her infectious laughter, and the love she shared with all who knew her. May her memory be a beacon of awareness and compassion for those silently fighting their own battles.

Rest in peace, sweet Jayne. You are deeply missed and forever loved.
